From time to time events happen that let us know that RACE is yet an unresolved American dilemma. Forty years of momentum toward resolution that was founded in the 1960's is rapidly dissipating into a digital existence that produces a staccato attention at best to issues that are still angrily bubbling below our visible facades.
The Don Imus comments about the Rutger's women's basketball team was an effective catalyst for the essential dialogue that was constant for a time. But I have doubts that any meaningful dialogue will be sustained beyond the week-long "parade of stars" brought out by the mass media as opinion leaders on this matter.
My hope is that the Don Imus spark will re-ignite the spirit of the 60's Black Community that understood the importance of social and economic equity that can only be gained through education and entrepreneurship.
I am starting this blog with the goal of building a collaborative venue where our collective thoughts define, strategize, and effect in greater measure "The Black Entrepreneur". It remains the only logical solution for sustainable participation in both the domestic and global economies. In this way, we can truly have peace with one another.
